Hampton At Work, a division of Hampton Health, Ltd. and a proud member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM), provides on-site post-offer, pre-employment physicals (including drug testing), primarily within the medical field, to skilled nursing facilities, assisted and independent living communities and related companies.
Board Certified in Addiction Medicine by ABAM, Dr. John H. Fullerton is additionally certified as an MRO (Medical Review Officer) and was chosen among a small number of addiction specialists to sit for the Boards sponsored by the American Academy of Medical Review Officers (AAMRO) in 2011; a test additionally sponsored by the government through the US Department of Transportation and the Department of Health and Human Services, under the auspices of the Office of Drug and Alcohol Policy (OADAP).
Dr. Fullerton received his official MRO certification from the Medical Review Officer Certification Counsel (MROCC). The MROCC is an independent, physician-based certifying body which conducts an extensive application process and written examination to identify licensed physicians with the highest professional standards of medical expertise and practical skills necessary to evaluate drug and alcohol test results (including determinations of substance abuse) in the public and private sectors of the workplace.
The added qualifications of Dr. John H. Fullerton as a certified Medical Review Officer and his skill as an Addiction Specialist in the management of chemical dependency serves to ensure the public that Hampton At Work meets the highest standard of quality services and maintenance of ethical conduct in their complete and comprehensive employee physical and drug testing program.
Whether conducting a post-offer, pre-employment or annual physical, the in-depth and comprehensive examinations provided by Hampton At Work are always confidential.
In addition to our physical examination we offer:
- Tuberculosis (TB) testing
- HPB (Hepatitis B)
- Flu vaccinations
- Drug testing (urine analysis)
- Drug re-testing for positive results to a specific substance
Our services work to improve:
- Employee health
- Increase employee morale
- Increase employee productivity
- Decrease liability and disability
Federal law mandates that a qualified MRO must make the final determination whether a positive laboratory test represents a true non-negative (that may be compatible with drug dependence or abuse and, of course, not a false positive).
In addition to honoring third party verification for any requests for split specimen testing, Dr. Fullerton as the acting MRO serves as a "gatekeeper" to protect the donor from a false accusation of illicit drug use when there is an alternate medical explanation for the laboratory result.
At the same time, it is Dr. Fullerton's role as a certified MRO to protect the Company as a valuable resource - helping with policies and regulatory issues, as well as providing related services, such as drug test collections, breath alcohol testing services, coordination of laboratory services, laboratory performance testing, preparation of summary reports for employers and, in particular, protecting those working in "safety-sensitive" positions.
